Icho the director and La California Producer requested us to dress the table as it would appear in the brunch meal. The Colombian Family—dad, mom, and two girls—share dishes on the table in a small kitchen with pink tiles and yellow shelves made by Victor Bionica. After AI suggestions and palette approval, we chose the recently inaugurated IKEA for props.

The only effect inside the shooting is a spoon dissolving golden sugar in a glass of lemonade. A yellow lemon wedge is stirred between the sugar crystals, ensuring the grains remain intact. Lakanto sweets closely resembles the New Manuelita, preventing failing before camera register dilution.

The mother sprinkles sugar on a preparation on the table while the kid that receives the sugar box. A PPP shows the golden color of the new sugar product. We drive all the city back to find the perfect sugar box recipient as there were over 8 options needed for the set.

We also had to ensure the food was handled properly, avoiding mistakes plating a substantial Creole breakfast in the middle of one of the largest cane plantings in South America. It was exhaustingly hot but really fun.
