This is my Lima’s favorite story. The Lopez brothers grew up under their mom’s skirt in the bustling central market of La Parada, right at the city’s entrance. After hours, many resellers would dine there, and their mom, Esperanza, had a street food stand.

Destiny was written, and these two guys grew up passionate about food. They developed one of the most delicious palates in Lima. After years of hard work and studying at famous restaurants like A&G and Central, Seti, the oldest brother, started a cozy comfort food restaurant in the first floor of his mom’s house in San Juan.

These two brothers spread decentralize with some delicious food throughout San Juan de Miraflores, a 20-minute ride from Chorrillos, or even a quicker drive in train. They offer an incredible Lomo Saltado, perfectly seasoned duck ceviche, generous Aeropuerto with Chi Jau Kay, and his version of Amazonic chaufa it delicious.

Every time I’m in Lima, I walk over to the Lopez place to see what they are now and enjoy one of my favorite places in the south of the city.
